As befitting the site's progression of time, the Agrestian Calendar works on a basis of four seasons - Spring, Summer, Fall and Winter - each with 42 days within it. That isn't to say you necessarily have to conduct your role play on the exact date the thread was started in real time - a role play within the season can, in fact, take place at any point within it regardless of what day it is - but having similar numbers is to assist with things such as birth-dates or the general range an event might take place in. You can find a list of events and birthdates on the posts following - so long as they're in season, you're welcome to include any of them in your thread. Have an event idea you want to see included? Should a player-created IC festival get enough traction, it may be added to the calendar to be celebrated in the city it began in in future years.

Widely considered to be the rainy season in Agresti. Temperatures lean more on the mild side closer to the end of the season, but early spring tends to be bitterly cold. Be mindful if you go out adventuring - you will likely get partially frozen mud caked over everything you own. If you don't have planting or battling to do, it's likely the best season to curl up inside with a warm drink. Notable EventsSpring 1st - Festival of RenewalAfter the harshness of winter comes the revival of the land through the warm rains of spring... which are sometimes not exactly warm, but it sounds more pleasant if you say it is. The Festival of Renewal, acting as a counterpoint for the winter's anniversary of the fall, is a time of regaining one's bearings and refreshing oneself in preparation for the year ahead. It's a bit like New Year's, but with a lot more freezing rain. The most common way to celebrate, rather than setting goals for the new year, is instead to beat back the ill omens that plagued you during the previous one. Got assaulted by the Milotics at Good Luck Lake last year? Go beat one up. Your girlfriend dump you? Become a Casanova. New year, new you! This tends to result in some... rather unorthodox mistakes, more often than not... but hey, that's what keeps the guild in business. Birthday ListingsTravis Quinn - spring 14 Predictably, the warmest season of the four. As the balminess of spring shifts into the heat of summer and the days become longer, Frontier City tends to get more lax - multiple businesses tend to close during the afternoon for a few hours in order to enjoy the weather and beat the worst of the heat. Air conditioners are a rare luxury here, after all! Remember to keep hydrated and pack protection from the sun if you're going out anywhere. Notable EventsSummer 31-37 - The Grand TournamentIt's that time again! What time, you ask? Well... no one actually knows! Started initially by Factory Labs as a poorly planned attempt to get people to stop trying to rent Pokemon for at least a few days, the Grand Tournament is a festival near Summer's end wherein citizens of all stripes are pitted against each other in... just about every sort of non-Pokemon related competition you could think of! The first year it was celebrated included Frontier's citizens going head to head in hand-to-hand combat, cooking, ballroom dancing, charades, and children's card games. Generally, the events are picked out of a hat filled to the brim with suggestions from people around town - no one actually knows what manner of things participants will be competing in until they're announced on the first day of the tournament. Still, the prizes the Lab offers for staying off the premises for the week were nothing to sneeze at, so it was decided it would be celebrated again in Frontier City next year. Birthday Listings

A pleasant season renowned for the changes it causes in the local plant-life. Often a fair bit warmer and clearer than spring, the Guild cites autumn as the ideal time to go out and conduct business - whether that business be harvesting crops or making progress of any sort beyond the shores of Fall Island. However, with fall comes an increase in Pokemon attempting to hunt and stock up for the chilly winter ahead - you may find your progress impeded by multiple visitors before the season is over. Notable EventsAutumn 14-16 - FallentinesgivingIt's Valentines Day.... but in fall! You know, so you're not struggling to take your sweetie out near the end of the winter, when you'd just be thankful to survive the next few days. Kinda kills the mood, you know? Or, it would have been, if The Singles (tm), dreading having the Commercial Romance Holiday come into their life in yet another universe, didn't shoehorn in the rationality that it would have made more sense to just celebrate how fortunate they all are to simply be alive here. Then the farmers got involved, claiming that rather than celebrating abstract holidays from a world that they couldn't return to, they should be embracing the joys of the season and the bounties it brings - wouldn't a fall fair be more appropriate for all of those things? And so, Fallintinesgiving was brought into being - three days of excessive eating, flexing on your crushes, and competing over who grew the biggest gourd that year. A bit of a strange compromise, but you probably won't feel hungry for at least a week after. Birthday ListingsStardust - fall 37 The most difficult of the Agrestian seasons, to the point that many of the townsfolk are more willing to open their homes to new Fallers to shield them from the bitter cold it brings. Heaters are another rare commodity, you see - and, although many have found means to build up makeshift hearths in their homes and businesses to counteract that, many newer residents find themselves sorely unprepared... which has made winter an ideal time for hungry opportunists, but a foul season for travel. The Guild advises against setting out on any ventures during the winter season, opting to only offer missions around the local area to protect the townsfolk. Notable EventsWinter 8th - Anniversary of the FallBetter known by a cheeky few as the Fallniversary, the 8th of Winter is often marked as a time of remembrance for the people of Frontier City. A candle is lit in the evening, one for each life lost over the course of the year - be it human or Pokemon - and set outdoors for the wind to snuff out. A candle left burning the entire night is rumored to be an ill omen - the spirit it represents has supposedly not found peace and allowed itself to be carried away. The practice has often been regarded as hauntingly beautiful, if a bit melodramatic. Every year, someone has without fail suggested replacing the candle-lighting with dropping misshapen Watmel berries from the roof of the largest building in the city to represent the falling of the Battle Frontier onto the Agresti region. Unfortunately, this has been rejected by the majority for the past 3 years the anniversary has been overseen. Birthday ListingsSeth Gayle - winter 22
